Booking choice: The small-group Anne Frank walk, from $21 per person. Check dates Tour details
Here is the timetable from early November 2026 to New Year's Day 2027, taken from the tickets page of the Anne Frank House website, annefrank.org, on 2 November 2026.
You will also find the release dates for the Christmas weeks, the parts of 2027 the museum has not announced yet, and how to fit a guided walk through the neighbourhood around your time slot.
The quick answer
The Anne Frank House is open every day from 9:00 to 22:00. The exceptions until New Year: Saturday 7 November 2026 (9:00 to 18:30), 25 and 31 December (9:00 to 17:00) and 1 January 2027 (12:00 to 22:00). Tickets are sold only on annefrank.org, every Tuesday at 10:00 CET for visits six weeks later.
What are the Anne Frank House opening hours in 2026?
From 9:00 to 22:00, every day of the week. There is no weekly closing day.
Those long hours hold through the winter. A visit takes about an hour on average, the museum says, and once you are inside you can stay as long as you like: the time on your ticket is your start time, not a deadline.
The museum shop keeps the same hours as the museum. The café looks out over the Prinsengracht and is reached only through the museum, so it is part of your visit rather than a separate stop. Both take bank or credit cards only.

Which days have different hours until 1 January 2027?
Four: Saturday 7 November 2026 (9:00 to 18:30), Friday 25 December and Thursday 31 December (both 9:00 to 17:00), and Friday 1 January 2027 (12:00 to 22:00).
The 7 November date is the one to watch right now. It is a Saturday, and the museum closes at 18:30, so plan a daytime slot. The museum gives no reason for the early close.
Christmas Eve and Boxing Day are not on the museum's list of changed dates, so the normal 9:00 to 22:00 timetable applies. New Year's Day starts late, at noon, and then runs into the evening as usual.
| Date | Opening hours | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Every regular day | 9:00 to 22:00 | The normal timetable, seven days a week |
| Saturday 7 November 2026 | 9:00 to 18:30 | Early close |
| Thursday 24 December 2026 | 9:00 to 22:00 | Not on the list of changed dates |
| Friday 25 December 2026 | 9:00 to 17:00 | Christmas Day |
| Saturday 26 December 2026 | 9:00 to 22:00 | Not on the list of changed dates |
| Thursday 31 December 2026 | 9:00 to 17:00 | New Year's Eve |
| Friday 1 January 2027 | 12:00 to 22:00 | Late opening on New Year's Day |
When do tickets for December and early January go on sale?
Every Tuesday at 10:00 CET, for visits six weeks later. The release on Tuesday 3 November 2026 covers dates such as Tuesday 15 December.
All tickets are sold online on the museum's website, annefrank.org, with a date and start time. There are no tickets at the door and no waiting list, and the museum does not refund or rebook a ticket. Every visitor needs one, including children up to 9 (EUR 1.00) and Museumkaart holders, who pay the EUR 1.00 booking fee.
For the holiday weeks, the table below shows the six-week rule in practice. Popular dates go fast, so set an alarm for the Tuesday that matches your trip and book as soon as it opens.

What time of day should you book your slot?
Book around your walking tour. Start with a guided walk in the neighbourhood and take a museum slot about two hours after the tour begins.
That order works well. A guide walks you past the canal houses, the Westerkerk and the streets of the Jewish Quarter and explains how Anne's family came to Amsterdam, what changed under the occupation and why they went into hiding on 6 July 1942. When you reach the Secret Annex an hour or two later, the rooms have a context.
The long opening hours give you room. A morning walk pairs with an early afternoon slot; an afternoon walk pairs with an evening slot, since the museum is open until 22:00 on every regular day. Sonya, on the walk from the Westerkerk in Oct 2026, did it the other way round: "I booked the 900 am Anne Frank house museum ticket myself and then made it to the 1030 tour. It was a perfect combo."

How long should you allow for the whole visit?
About an hour inside the museum, or about 1.5 hours with the 30-minute introductory programme. Add the café if you want time to sit afterwards.
Photography and filming are not allowed inside, camera glasses included, and bags larger than an A4 sheet go to the free cloakroom. The museum advises a minimum age of 10. The route through the front house and the Secret Annex has steep stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.
For the full ticket rules see our Anne Frank House tickets guide, and for crowds and seasons, the best time to visit.

A specialist guide, a small group and Anne's story told on the streets where it happened: one or two hours, a perfect lead-in to your museum slot.
